Heated windscreen

Heated windscreens are great & the new "no wires" one should be even better. But I was concerned that one is forced to but the "advanced telephone" option. Did this mean that the phone would only work when in the armrest? That would be a dealbreaker - it's so Convenient to keep the phone in my pocket (& my wife's in her handbag). I have spoken with our Product Marketing Team who have confirmed that you can pair your phone to the Bluetooth system without
the need to connect your phone to the advanced phone preparation socket. One of the main purposes of the advanced telephone
preparation is to provide a connection to an external aerial source. This is necessary as when the heated screen is used, it can
cause interference with your telephone signal, should this be the case, simply connect the telephone to the advanced telephone
preparation to improve your signal.

Although I still begrudge having to pay for an extra I'll never use, the heated windscreen is now on my wish list
